The Pesticide Action Network (PAN) works to replace pesticide and herbicide use with ecologically sound and socially just alternatives. PAN's Pesticide Database is your one-stop location for current toxicity and regulatory information for pesticides and herbicides. We at Botanica Atlanta try to use as few pesticides and herbicides as possible. But when we do consider the use of man-made chemicals, we check PAN's database first. Any product that gets their "bad actor" rating is off limits to us.

The Oakhurst Community Garden Project (OCGP) in Decatur Georgia actively engages youth, families, and individuals in their environment, health, and community through organized programs, classes, and events that develop creative skills in sustainable urban living, organic gardening, health and nutrition. The OCGP serves as community garden, nature center, neighborhood meeting space, and wildlife habitat that is open for all to experience the potential of urban greenspace.
