Designs by us but for YOU – Too many designers approach design from their own point of view and design according to what works for them. But you want a design that fulfills your needs and desires – not the designer's. We understand that landscape design must be a collaboration between client and designer. It must be our creative expression of YOUR dreams. Therefore, we work together with you through the entire design process and we do not rest until you have the design that YOU want.  

See it before you plant it - It can be very difficult to envision proposed changes in the landscape if all you have to go by is a top-down plan view document with lots of colored circles all over it. But our landscape designers are not only experienced at composing master plan drawings, they also are skilled at several other methods of communicating their designs. We can provide conceptual perspective drawings, before and after image designs, and even recreate your design in a 3D environment that allows you to "walkthrough" the landscape on a computer screen!

Five senses design – Very rarely is landscape design considered beyond the sense of sight. But a garden ought to be a delight to all five senses. The nose can be engaged by the sweet fragrance of a tea olive properly placed near a seating area, the ears can be tickled by the soothing sound of flowing water and the delightful odes of songbirds, even the fingers can communicate beauty to the mind through the use of interesting tactile experiences. And what is a garden if it bears no fruit to delight the palate? But none of these things happen by accident. They must be done by design.

Beauty and abundance together – Gardening in the past was primarily a means of sustenance with beauty as an afterthought. Today, it has gone to the other extreme. Mere ornamentation is the only purpose of most modern gardens with any productive plants relegated to a small square patch in the back of the yard (if they can be found at all). But it doesn't have to be one or the other! Let us show you how your property can be made not only functional and beautiful but abundantly productive.

Low maintenance and money saving design – Low maintenance does not have to mean boring design. But if a landscape is going to be both beautiful and easy to maintain, careful and thoughtful planning is required. How often have you seen shrubs and trees being repeatedly trimmed into unnatural shapes because they have outgrown the spaces in which they were placed? And how much money and time is wasted maintaining large, unused expanses of lawn which could me made into visually appealing and productive gardens? Good design not only creates beautiful spaces, it also saves a great deal of money in the long run.
